The Kentucky Revival
The Cane Ridge Revival, written by an eyewitness and co-worker with Barton W. Stone. Also a history of the Shakers, whom the author later joined.
Description
The Restoration Movement Library Presents: The Kentucky Revival.
Richard McNemar, original signer of the Last Will and Testament of the Springfield Presbytery, was in Cane Ridge at the great revival of 1801. This is where Barton W. Stone first preached “repent and be baptized” to sinners looking to be saved. In the Kentucky Revival, he gives his first-hand, eyewitness testimony about what happened there.
Also included in this book is his history of the rise of Shakerism—a false religion that threatened to tear the church in Kentucky apart. And a false religion that McNemar himself fell prey to.
